We have some new entertainment scheduled which we hope you will enjoy. We try to have something for everyone. Rex Grant, well known for his country music flair will be here March 12th, April 2nd, 9th, 29th and 30th. Country Fever will be here the 18th and 19th of March. I am also in discussions with some other entertainers to get some variety here. Special Blend will be here May 14th. Ron Ackerson will also be coming back in a couple of months. Of course we will still have our dedicated Karaoke people, Mike, Captain and Kim. We will have Karaoke Mar. 4th/5th, 11th, 25/26th and Apr. 1st, 8th, 15th/16th, 22nd/23rd. Give us your feedback, we want to know what you want.
The women have their mini-golf tournament chaired by Judy Stewart on March 12th. This is always a good time . We are coming back to the lodge for hot dogs and hamburgers fixed by Charlie, Denny and Jerry. You won’t want to miss out on this. Next they have have their Fashion Show on April 2nd chaired by Nancy Johnson and Georgia McGee. Then comes their Red Neck night chaired by Georgia featuring Special Blend on May 14th.
March 17th is St. Patty’s Day sponsored by Jerry's crew. The men have a steak dinner planned for March 19th chaired by Roy. Any member whose dues are expired who come in and pay them on that day will receive a free meal. Jerry and his "crew" are holding a Chili Cook-off and Salsa contest. on April 16th.
Our annual Yard Sale will be held April 8th and 9th chaired by Jerry, there will be NO pre-sale of items prior to the event times.
We have Installation of Officers on April 23rd. Please come and show your support for the new officers.
The men and women are trying to make their Award of Achievement and they must have a gain in membership to do this. Please members if you are due by April 30th, pay your dues on time. You can mail them in, pay them on the computer or make your payment here in the office. We have made our Award of Achievement for the last several years and we don't want to break our record.
Before another newsletter goes out many of our beloved snowbirds will have returned home so we want to tell them thanks for coming and spending the winter with us and we hope they have a safe trip home and come back to see us next year.
A big thanks also to our "local" members. We know times are tough and we really appreciate you all for coming to the Moose Lodge, eating dinner and spending your time and money here. We hope we meet your expectations.
We also want to thank the Moose Riders for the functions they hold, the breakfasts they are having and for all the money they have donated both to local charities and Mooseheart. Thanks for all you do.
It takes everyone working together to make this a wonderful lodge. I’m proud to be your Administrator and I hope you are all proud to be members.
